Pelican Ski and Snowboard Tuning
No matter how little or how much you ski or snowboard, eventually the equipment you use for sliding down the mountain will become damaged by riding over rocks, ice or bare spots. Proper care is essential to the survival of your equipment. Damage to your bases and edges, regardless of how small, will slow your skis and make them more difficult to steer. You pay a lot for that ticket to ride - make it count!
Ideally, it is recommended to start your season with a fresh tune and binding safety check. Removing any rust and burs and retexturing your base will ensure some great days on the mountain. Tuning prices will vary depending on what you need to have done to your equipment.
A Crystal Glide Tune will restructure your base and give you the ultimate glide. You may also need to fill in any cracks or marks in your base - this is accomplished with p-texting. Additionally, keeping your equipment waxed in-between tunes will make your riding more enjoyable. If your equipment feels a bit slow, it may be because of lack of wax on the base. If you are feeling handy, we offer a wide variety of after-market waxes and tuning equipment from which our experienced sales staff would be happy to help you pick out. Not sure what you need? Just bring your equipment on in and our Pelican ski and snowboard experts can check it out and help you decide what you might need.
For all our customers that rent for the season: Pelican Season rentals include free mid-season tune!
